This hard-hitting San Luis Obispo, Ca. based band was formed in early 2003. Front man Greg Sellars and guitarist Ryan Cook were plagued with the lack of originality and inspiration that infected their previous bands. They agreed an injection of new life was in order to realize the sound they desired.

Their initial double-shot of adrenaline came in the form of lead guitarist Tyler Newton and drummer Paul Lavelle. Tyler's fast fingers and instinctive approach combined with Paul's exceptional timing and feelingful beats added flavor to an already tasteful recipe. Soon bassist Craig Hartnell was added to the puzzle. His innovative and creative flair on bass opened up a whole new horizon of possibilities. This intriguing quintet of musicians accentuate smooth flowing guitar with an in-your-face explosion of heavy groove. Add to this their enthusiasm for high-energy ambience and ESOTERIK is born.
